Cross-section Polisher (CP-8000+)

เครื่องเตรียมหน้าตัดตัวอย่าง โดยวิธีฉายแสงอาร์กอนไอออน Cross-section Polisher (CP8000+) เป็นเครื่องมือสำหรับใช้ในการสร้างหน้าตัด (cross-section) ของตัวอย่าง โดยการฉายแสงอาร์กอนไอออน (argon-ion beam) เพื่อตัดเฉือนและเจียร ทำให้สามารถสร้างผิวหน้าตัดตัวอย่างที่เรียบเนียนและปราศจากการทำลาย เหมาะสำหรับการนําไปวิเคราะห์ต่อด้วยเทคนิค Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) หรือ EDS

โดยเครื่องมือนี้ สามารถสร้างหน้าตัดของตัวอย่างประเภทเช่น แร่ธาตุ (minerals), กระดาษ (paper), ไฟเบอร์, เซรามิก หรือฟิล์มโลหะ (metal film) เป็นต้น

Applications

When a voltage is applied to the ion gun and argon gas is injected, plasma is generated and an ion beam is directed at the sample by an acceleration voltage to begin the etching process.
